About ADOPETUR

With the purpose of strengthening the complementary tourism offering —including excursions, theme parks, adventure tourism, and ecotourism— the leading operators in the sector created the Dominican Association of Tourist Parks and Excursions (ADOPETUR).

ADOPETUR was founded after years of collaboration among various industry stakeholders who have promoted strategies to position adventure tourism and ecotourism as key and differentiating elements in the global destination selection process. The Association encourages unity and cooperation among its members, promoting high-quality services and memorable experiences, always guided by principles of sustainability, natural resource preservation, and support for the economic and social development of the communities where we operate.

We are convinced that, in order to sustain the growth of tourism in the Dominican Republic, it is essential to develop new hotel projects and expand the complementary tourism offering. Only in this way can we meet growing demand, diversify destinations, and continue strengthening the tourism sector, the main driving force of our economy.

Como instancia aglutinadora de prestadores de servicios turiìsticos relacionados con turismo de aventura, excursiones, ecoturismo, parques temaìticos, operadores especializados, entre otros; trabajaremos en la articulacioìn de productos turiìsticos que garanticen un servicio profesionalizado y de excelencia, para nuestros visitantes, locales y extranjeros; enfocados en desarrollar una oferta turiìstica complementarias de excelencia y sostenible.

Commitment Letter

Objectives of ADOPETUR

1 Stimulate the growth of national and international recreational and excursion tourism, seeking for this purpose to lead and coordinate activities and organizations related to the tourism industry of parks and excursions.
2 Contribute to the professional development of the sector.
3 Study and recommend measures to promote, defend, and develop the interests and well-being of the parks and excursions tourism industry, as well as related sectors in the Dominican Republic.
4 Represent the interests of companies related to recreational parks and excursions tourism at the national level before public and private entities.
5 Promote strict adherence to standards of morality and ethics in the activities of the parks and excursions tourism industry.
6 Promote, for the benefit of the public, everything that contributes to the highest levels of quality and satisfaction in recreational tourism services.
7 Establish and maintain relationships with similar associations abroad and, ultimately, promote any other activities directly or indirectly related to the aforementioned fundamental objectives.
